Recertification is a means of providing ongoing assessment of the CRNI®s continued competence and professional growth. INCC mandates a three-year recertification period to ensure that the CRNI® is exposed to developments within the field, such as technological innovations or clinical advancements. This assures the public that the CRNI® provides the best possible infusion therapy as they have kept abreast of any developments.
INCC's policies and procedures for recertification will be strictly enforced. It is recommended that CRNI®s begin accumulating recertification units before the final year of the certification period.
Term of Certification
The CRNI® credential becomes effective April 1, for successful candidates of the March Examination and October 1, for successful candidates of the September Examination.
Recertification by examination or continuing education follows every three years thereafter on December 31. CRNI®s passing the examination in March OR September 2007 will be due for recertification December 31, 2010.
Subsequent recertification periods run from January 1 the first year to December 31 the third year.
Recertification units must be earned between the date the credential became effective and the date of the credential’s expiration.
INCC provides at least one recertification reminder annually and at least two recertification reminders during the final year of certification. However, it remains the professional responsibility of the CRNI® to meet recertification requirements within published deadlines.

A CRNI® can recertify by continuing education or exam. A complete Recertification or Exam Application and fee are required. All CRNI®s must meet the following eligibility requirements to recertify.
