Recertification by Examination

CRNI®s electing to recertify by exam, forfeit the option to recertify by continuing education.

The new computer-based exam is available at over 150 locations by appointment Monday through Friday during March and September. A CRNI® cannot attempt to recertify by exam until the September exam administration during the final year of certification.

Recertification by exam does not affect a certification period. CRNI®s must recertify every three years based on the original certification date. The $150 recertification fee, which is paid with the exam application fee, will be refunded if the exam attempt is unsuccesful.

To recertify by exam, submit a complete exam application and applicable fee to INCC before the regular exam registration deadline of July 10. Click here for more CRNI® Examination information and application forms.
