Pamela Jacobs, BSN, MHA, RN, CRNI®, OCN®
Chair

Pamela began her nursing career in 1979 as a critical care nurse. In 1990, she transferred to a newly formed IV Team where she administered chemotherapy and placed PICCs. In 1999, she transferred to Louisville Oncology, and outpatient department, and administered chemotherapy. She has since become the Clinical Educator and is currently the Director of Clinical Education for the Norton Cancer Institute. She serves on many committees, offering IV and oncology expertise, and Pamela has also been an expert witness in the courtroom. She recently earned a Master’s degree in Health Administration. Pamela is certified in both infusion therapy and oncology, and was honored in 2006 as INCC CRNI® of the Year. 

 

 

Crystal Miller, BSN, MA, RN, CRNI®
Chair-Elect

As a member of the infusion therapy department at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, Crystal brings 25 years of infusion experience to the INCC Board. Crystal has published articles and book chapters on infusion therapy, most recently authoring two chapters in the 3rd edition of the textbook Infusion Nursing: An Evidence-Based Approach. Her extensive involvement with INS has enabled Crystal to serve in a number of leadership positions, most notably as INS President. She has proudly held the CRNI® credential for 16 years.
 

 

Christine Armstrong, BA, MA, JD
Public Member

A Senior Vice President/Wealth Advisor at Smith Barney in Boston, MA, Christine has presented educational sessions on personal wealth management for nurses at INS national meetings. Christine received a BA at the University of Arizona, an MA at Ohio State University, and a JD at Seattle University. She has served on the INCC Board of Directors as Public Member since 2004.
 

 

 

Bernice A. Bennett, MPH, CHES
Director Member 

Ms. Bennett received her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan in 1973 and served from 2003 to 2009 as the Assistant Vice President for Quality and Performance Improvement for the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH).  In this capacity, she oversaw activities and programs associated with Quality Improvement and Patient Safety within the NAPH strategic plan.

 

Ann Corrigan, BSN, MSHA, RN, CRNI®
Director Member

Ann is a consultant in the practice of infusion nursing. She began her involvement with infusion nursing in 1974 and brings over 36 years of experience and knowledge to the certification board. She had been involved with certification since its inception in 1983, helping to develop the first CRNI® examination. Since that time she has served on INCC’s Examination Councils and the Job Analysis committee. She is also a past chairperson of the INCC Board of Directors. Ann is a published author and has served as coeditor of the Core Curriculum for Infusion Nursing and the 3rd edition of the textbook Infusion Nursing: An Evidence-Based Approach. Ann has held the CRNI® credential for 25 years. Besides being involved in INCC, Ann has been active in INS, with her most notable accomplishment being that of past president of INS.

 
 

 

 

Richelle (Shelly) Hamblin, MSN, RN, CRNI®
Director Member

Shelly graduated nursing school from an ADN program in 1985. After working for 10 years in Emergency Nursing, Shelly was introduced to homehome care by a co-worker.  Intrigued by the elastomeric devices, she began working in home infusion. Working in New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and now Tennessee. Shelly has worked on IV teams, PICC teams, set up home infusion programs, and has also provided staff education. She is currently Director of Clinical Education and Professional Development for the Vanderbilt Medical Group (Focus-Ambulatory Care Settings).  Shelly obtained her MSN in Nursing Leadership/Education in 2008. Shelly also was the recipient of the INCC 2005 CRNI® of the Year Award.
 

 

Mary McGoldrick, MS, RN, CRNI®
Director Member

Mary is a homecare and hospice consultant for Home Health Systems in Georgia, where she has provided consultation and education on Joint Commission standards, infection prevention and control activities, patient safety, and performance improvement topics for the past 19 years. Mary began providing home infusion therapy in 1982 and since that time has served in a myriad of home care clinical, management, and executive-level positions spanning over 30 years. During this time, Mary surveyed for 12 years as a homecare and hospice surveyor for The Joint Commission and served as educational faculty for the Joint Commission for 10 years and for five years as an adjunct professor at Mercer University’s Graduate School of Business and Economics in Atlanta.

An author of more than 80 published articles and several other books, chapters and manuals, Mary is also a member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Infusion Nursing and Home Healthcare Nurse journal. She is also the author of the “Infection Prevention and Control” chapter for INS’ newly published textbook, Infusion Nursing: An Evidence-Based Approach.
